Demonstrate, plan and write letters, picket and promote production of the serial hybrid Electric cars, which can run 40 or more miles per charge in EV-only mode, a small IC engine is used only to charge the batteries for occasional long trips.
Prepare EV-car pools to Sacramento to lobby California Air Resources Board to mandate production of PHEV-40 using the same Nickel Metal Hydride batteries still in use on the Toyota RAV4-EV and formerly used in the GM 1999 EV1, Honda EV-plus, Ranger-EV and fleet-lease RAV4-EV, or just plain Panasonic lead-acid batteries used in the 110-mile-range 1997 EV1.
CARB meets monthly, but we may go to Sacramento or other venues more often.
